The ninth Ron Palmer Summer Basketball & Academic Camp is scheduled to take place Aug. 1-4 at Long Beach State. The camp, named after the legendary Poly basketball coach, runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day for Long Beach-area boys and girls ages 8 to 15. The camp features moing math and language arts classroom tutoring taught by certified teachers and assisted by high school- and college-age tutors, and basketball drills and games in the afteoon.
