If there was any question whether the National Football League would be well received upon retuing to Los Angeles, local fans made sure to squash those conces.

Specifically Los Angeles Rams fans, who gobbled up more than 56,000 deposits to purchase season tickets for the 2016 season at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum,

The Rams closed the ticket campaign on Monday and could not be happier with the response.

“We are inspired by how enthusiastically NFL fans in Southe Califoia have responded to the retu of the Los Angeles Rams,” said Rams Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President Kevin Demoff. “We will reward their passion by providing a terrific game day experience at both the Coliseum this fall and ultimately in Inglewood. We can’t wait to welcome our fans on Sundays and become an integral part of the Greater Los Angeles community.”

Rams deposit owners have a priority opportunity to purchase season tickets along with access to other team benefits and will receive additional details regarding seat selection this spring.

· Information on the Rams official wait list for the Inglewood Stadium opening in 2019

· Details on the availability and sale of 2016 Single Game tickets and any available ticket packages

The Rams were approved for relocation to Los Angeles in January and will play at the Coliseum until 2019 when they move into their new stadium in Inglewood.

The San Diego Chargers were also approved for relocation to Los Angeles, and have up to a year to decide whether to exercise that option. The Chargers and Rams have a partnership agreement in place, but the Chargers will spend 2016 working with San Diego leaders to try to get a new stadium built in San Diego.

If the Chargers opt to remain in San Diego, the Oakland Raiders would have the option to join the Raiders. Perhaps as soon as the 2017 season.
