Thunder Thursday roars along Pine Avenue on eve of Long Beach Grand Prix

Downtown Long Beach Associates hosted Thunder Thursday along Pine Avenue on the eve of the main event — the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Stunt drivers performed tricks, car enthusiasts brought their classic wheels, technicians competed in pit stop maneuvers, drivers signed autographs and musicians brought the noise to the 16th aual event.

The 42nd Aual Grand Prix gets underway today with several qualifying rounds, as well as food, music and more. Gates open at 7 a.m.
