Clippers' Jamal Crawford wins NBA Sixth Man award

The Clippers’ Jamal Crawford has won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award for a record third time.

The reserve guard, who is in his 16th season, averaged 14.2 points on the season, but averaged 15.8 points after Dec. 25.

Crawford, 36, breaks his own record, set two years ago, as the oldest wier of the Sixth Man of the Year award.

He also won the honor in 2010 with Atlanta and 2014 with the Clippers.

Crawford led the Clippers with 341 fourth-quarter points and was second in the NBA with a 90.4 free-throw percentage.

Crawford received 51 first-place votes and 341 points from a panel of 130 writers and broadcasters. Golden State’s Andre Iguodala of was second with 288 points (33 first-place votes). Oklahoma City’s Enes Kanter finished third with 182 points (19 first-place votes).

Kevin McHale, Ricky Pierce and Detlef Schrempf had shared the record with Crawford for wiing the Sixth Man award twice.
