NFL Draft: Rams select WR Michael Thomas in sixth round

Here’s a scouting report for Michael Thomas, whom the Rams selected with the 31st pick of the sixth round (206th overall) in the NFL Draft on Saturday.

The Rams received this pick from Chicago on Saturday after swapping their 15th pick of the fourth round for the Bears’ 19th pick.

Size: 6-1, 200

Strengths: Spirited player with a high motor. Good size and plays bigger with a 36-inch vertical.

Weaknesses: Not a buer (4.53 in the 40), so struggles getting separation. Focus and hands are question marks.

The skiy: Of the Rams’ five picks Saturday, Thomas is the second receiver and fourth skill player taken. Had 71 receptions for 1,391 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. His 2.98 yards per route ranked ninth in the nation.
