NAME: ANGELICA PONCE

SCHOOL: ST. ANTHONY

SPORT: SOFTBALL

YEAR: SENIOR

Noteworthy: The senior tossed a pair of two-hitters, leading the Saints (13-5, 6-0 Santa Fe League) to respective 10-0 and 19-1 league victories over St. Genevieve and Serra.

On Tuesday, she totaled nine strikeouts, before striking out eight more on Thursday, while helping her own cause at the dish, finishing a home run short of the cycle.

St. Anthony, which has outscored its opponents 88-1 while averaging 14.6 runs over six contests, will host St. Pius X-Matthias on Tuesday.
