SoCal Prep Legends Boys Athlete of the Week

NAME: DANNY NGUYEN SCHOOL: MILLIKAN SPORT: TENNIS YEAR: SENIOR

Noteworthy: Nguyen flashed back to 2014 Friday evening, capturing the Moore League boys teis title in both singles and doubles with back-to-back victories at the Billie Jean King Center.

The senior defeated Poly’s Adam Nagouey, 6-0, 6-0, before teaming with Eric Taylor to beat Nagouey and Felippe Dacudao, 6-3, 6-3. He accomplished the same feat two seasons ago, locking down the double crown, before finishing as ruer-up in both formats as a junior.

“I just feel thankful for the opportunity,” the UCLA commit said. “Not many people get to play teis like I do and I’m just grateful.”
