LA Kings face Mike Richards, Justin Williams and NHL-leading Capitals Tuesday

Update: The Kings (33-19-3) not only face two former teammates in forwards Mike Richards and Justin Williams, but also the league-leading Washington Capitals (40-10-4) as their seven-game Grammys trip continues. The Kings are 2-2-0 so far on their longest trek of the season. Their lead over the second-place Sharks was down to only six points entering play around the league Monday. They were seven points ahead of the Ducks, who faced Calgary on Monday afteoon. The Kings are 4-6-0 in their last 10 games, including a 1-0 loss Sunday to the New Jersey Devils. The Sharks are 6-2-2 in their last 10. Washington’s Alex Ovechkin leads the NHL with 35 goals and has nine in his past nine games. He’s not the hottest Capitals player, however. Evgeny Kuznetsov has 19 points in his past 13 games (two goals, 17 assists).
