RIO DE JANEIRO >> Kenya’s David Rudisha defended his Olympic Games 800-meter title in impressive fashion blowing away the field with a 1-minute, 42.16 victory.
Algeria’s Taoufik Makhloufi was second at 1:42.61 with Clayton Murphy of the U.S. getting the bronze medal at 1:42.93. Boris Berian of the U.S., third at the bell faded to eight place in 1:46.15.
