SoCal Prep Legends Girls Athlete of the Week

Noteworthy: In a first-round playoff game last week, Long Beach Poly senior Tavia Leachman had one of those moments that will be talked about for years to come.

With the rest of the Moore League already eliminated from the playoffs, the Jackrabbits looked like they’d cruise for much of the game, leading 1-0 until the 78th minute, when Rosary tied it up.

Less than 30 seconds later, Leachman skied and headed home a game-wier on an assist from Cali Tyler.

The win put Poly into the second round, thanks to a timely, legendary moment from the Jackrabbits’ senior Utah signee.
