The Ducks signed forward Dennis Rasmussen to a one-year contract worth $725,000 on Friday.
Rasmussen, 27, spent his first two NHL seasons with Chicago after playing with the Blackhawks’ American Hockey League team in 2014-15 following three seasons playing professionally in his native Sweden.
Rasmussen was with the Blackhawks full-time last season, scoring four goals with four assists and 12 penalty minutes in 68 games. He played in three of the four games of Chicago’s first-round loss to Nashville in the spring, scoring his first Stanley Cup playoff goal in Game 3.
The Ducks still have five contract slots available before meeting the NHL’s 50-contract limit.
