SoCal Prep Legends Boys Athlete of the Week

YEAR: JUNIOR

Noteworthy: Salas captured a CIF Southe Section Masters championship at 195 pounds with a second period pin of Santa Ana’s Joey Daniel on Saturday afteoon at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

The junior totaled five wins (four falls, one default) over the two-day event en route to receiving Upper Weight touament MVP honors.

“I feel great, I wrestled a great touament,” he said. “I just got my mind right before CIF [section individuals] and it’s just been going on.”

Up next for Salas will be the State Championships this weekend at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.
