UCLA women's hoops earns No. 3 seed in NCAA Tournament

The UCLA women’s basketball team eaed a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Touament on Monday evening — the same spot it was in when it last appeared in March Madness three years ago.

The Bruins will host No. 14 Hawaii at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, with the wier advancing to play either South Florida or Colorado State. UCLA had been hoping for a No. 2 seed, which was granted to fellow Pac-12 teams Oregon State — the conference champion — and Arizona State.

Sharing the Bridgeport region with the Bruins is No. 1 seed UCo, which has won three straight national titles. Husky forward Breaa Stewart was named the Final Four MVP to cap each of those runs.
