LA Angels end spring training with win over Chicago Cubs

Trailing 4-2 in the eighth iing, the Angels rallied for four runs against reliever Stephen Perakslis to beat the Cubs at Angel Stadium. They finished the exhibition schedule with a 19-8-6 record.

With ruers on second and third and two outs, minor leaguer David Fletcher singled to drive in Ji-Man Choi and Taylor Ward with the game-tying runs.

A single and a hit by pitch loaded the bases for Gregorio Petit, who singled to drive in two more runs. Nine different players collected a hit for the Angels, including doubles by C.J. Cron and

Craig Gentry.

Starter Matt Shoemaker allowed two runs in five iings, walked one and struck out four.

Mike Trout and Albert Pujols sat out the game for the Angels, who will send Garrett Richards to the mound Monday against the Cubs and NL Cy Young Award wier Jake Arrieta on Opening Day.
