He batted cleanup on five occasions, batted sixth twice, and had two hits to show for it. The Dodgers acquired starting pitcher Rich Hill and outfielder Josh Reddick from the Oakland A’s for a trio of pitching prospects. INGLEWOOD — Joshua Williams, the 24-year-old man shot to death in Inglewood Tuesday, was a former college football player who played linebacker for the Oregon State Beavers. A tweet from the team’s account reads, “We are very saddened by the news of the tragic passing of former Beaver Josh Williams. Our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.” Williams attended Salesian High School in Boyle Heights. After high school, Williams began with OSU in 2011, but was sidelined by a suspension in 2012 over a rules violation.
